Roundhouse

In 2004 the Roundhouse Theatre closed for a £29.7m redevelopment.

John McAslan and Partners were the architects responsible for the redevelopment of this Grade II* listed building. The job was three fold:

Bringing back to life its legendary performing space and equipping this extremely adaptable space with advanced technology such as flexible seating, lighting and sound. Part of this complex job involved the addition of seven layers to the roof to soundproof it.

Building a state of the art creative centre, the Roundhouse Studios , for young people aged 13-25 years.

Restoring original features of the building.

We were extremely honored to be chosen through the tender process to provide all the IT equipment for the Roundhouse.

The project included the specification and provision of all hardware and software for their full IT infrastructure, including the Ticketing system and the Audio/Visual IT equipment for The Roundhouse Studios. The equipment we specified included Cisco Security products, Dell Intel servers and PC's, APC Uninterruptible power supplies, various HP printers, Netgear gigabit switches and Access Points, all the necessary Microsoft and Citrix software and license agreements.

We provided charitable discounts where available and negotiated special bid pricing direct with vendors to keep well within the budget scope. We specified and delivered the correct solution for the Roundhouse on time and kept within their budgetary constraints.
